Bahía Magdalena

On the shores of the Pacific Ocean the impressive Magdalena Bay is the bird place for grey whales every year and is also a great place for bird watching, kayaking, fishing and surfing the common entry points are Puerto López Mateos and Puerto San Carlos, small fishing towns. A great option for day trips though out the year as the bay rich mangrove ecosystem will always surprise you with great encounters with species on their natural habitat like dolphins, sea turtles, frigates, crayns, coyotes and has mentioned above gray whales.

The sea food is great has the bay produces delicious oysters, clams, shrimp and fish, thus eating at one of the local restaurants to taste the flavors and dishes of these communities is a must.

Puerto López Mateos is located 50 miles south west of Loreto entering from Ciudad Insurgentes while Puerto San Carlos is 75 miles entering on Ciudad Constitución.
